We are excited to launch our all-in-one bolt-on electric start conversion Kit for the Yamaha YZ250 (2003-2025) and YZ250X (2016-2025). With the E-Starter Kit for the Yamaha YZ250 and YZ250X, riders can easily and reliably start their engines with the push of a button, eliminating the need for a kickstart.
- Bolt-on solution (uses OEM flywheel to keep original ignition; does NOT work with other flywheel weights)
- About 180 starts with one battery charge (AG-801)
- Adds about 9.6 lbs. to the bike with battery
- Vent hose in housing

I think the craftsmanship on the case cover is the best part, the gears have needed to be replaced twice for breaking, they said they were putting an upgraded gear set in, fingers crossed. As far as all the other components, they are cheap, I’ve replace the solenoid with a Yamaha solenoid from a V star and now I’m replacing the starter with an upgraded starter because both parts were cheap Chinese junk. I’ve also replaced the starter button and added a clutch safety switch. I’ve also rewired some of the original wiring harness. if you’re willing to upgrade their package with better parts, this could possibly be a good starter. Unfortunately it’s not as bombproof as I thought it would be in the beginning of this process. All in all I think they’re on two making a good product. Hopefully they don’t cheap out on future parts..

I ride hard enduro/single track. Having a E-Start in a bad spot comes in prime. Make my life so much easier. After a long day of riding using the E-start every chance I could. The battery lasted all day. Install was a breeze. Fisch for the win.
